My own take on extrasensory perception is that we have capacities to reach beyond our usual dominant focal points and these capacities are available and natural to all of us. Some people have a dominant mode, just as we do with the 5 senses we are used to thinking about,

You naturally integrate your multidimensional perceptions every day, and most of what you integrate is probably perceived in a modality that is as natural as breathing for you. It is a shift in awareness that brings it to your attention, and while we can be as delighted with it as if it were a new toy once we begin to pay attention, it is still something that has been there all along.

During your session, I'm using a combination of ways to sense and share with you. It always starts with a sense of deep listening ... and then the flow of information begins. I experience the flow itself and do not delineate the modes of perception as it's happening. It's easier for me to describe my own experiences than to relate to the terminology directly. I think of it as a communication skill, translating, using extrasensory perception as the mode of communication. Information comes in the way most easily accessible and understood, and that is what determines how we'll receive your information - because we are really working in tandem.

People who specialize in extrasensory forms of perception and communication develop their skills and collect their experiences much like anyone who specializes in any endeavor. I tend to think we're all medium ... it's just part of how we work and what we do, part of the multi-dimensional experience that is available to us as human beings, something that evolves and opens in us all as our awareness comes around to pay attention to it.

Process your reading with your own inner resources to 'grade' the quality of the information and determine its value to you, the same way you would any other experience or information.

Higher Guidance will never tell you what to do or do your thinking for you. Use your own discernment to keep you tuned in to your inner guidance system, which will let you know if the information or experience you are receiving is worthwhile for you or not.

There are various terms that are widely used today to distinguish modes of perception we use to interact with our multidimensional world. Here's a brief look at some of the language you might find when you research.

Medium brings to mind the communication with loved ones who have crossed over, and mediumship is considered the term for communicating in this way. It's not the only way that Mediums are “medium” though.  Although Webster isn't defining "mediumship" here, select definitions of the word medium can be food for thought:

Something intermediate, an intervening substance, as air, through which a force acts or an effect is produced, an intervening agency, a means or instrument by which something is conveyed or accomplished, one of the means or channels of general communication.

Clairvoyance means “clear-sighted” in French. It is the word for having a visual perception of energy, thought forms, concepts, and symbols. Visual is the key mode of 'extra' sensory perception being described by the word clairvoyant. Associated with being 'far-sighted” (able to see objects or events happening far away), and with seeing the future, past or present.

Other terms that help us distinguish modes of perception include Empathy. This is a heightened awareness of another person's state of mind or emotional environment.

Clairaudience refers to the sensation of hearing information come in, Clairsentience is the feeling mode, and sometimes you might smell something... this is termed Clairalience. Tasting is defined as Clairgustance ... and there are more!
